Ever since I was a little girl, I have always loved the Christmas holiday. I love the decorations, the festivites, the lights, and of course, the presents! My favorite part of Christmas; however, is realizing how important family really is. Every Christmas, I become so appreciative of the people and things in my life. </div>Oliviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10077129355173718452noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4314355238253247171.post-49433022764725481502010-11-08T09:33:00.001-08:002010-11-08T09:39:29.947-08:00JPG Challenge - Silence in Movement<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjN9KPsmpvruo6QRaoHFTEpysGF1iw0Pa7utaT6U_Fo2C6g3xujyqNovh4GlLVCU6CzN3WtLtE2bM8RpDBqFGe4hv4B_ECnWIoJduSescrl3sIcLYeJAQvC1rrKHEu8glHAkW4g066ckU/s1600/IMG_0387.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjN9KPsmpvruo6QRaoHFTEpysGF1iw0Pa7utaT6U_Fo2C6g3xujyqNovh4GlLVCU6CzN3WtLtE2bM8RpDBqFGe4hv4B_ECnWIoJduSescrl3sIcLYeJAQvC1rrKHEu8glHAkW4g066ckU/s200/IMG_0387.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5537234155217605170" /></a><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjftBjmQYYBe9al3eVQrEz1ReL8yTJhvy86BpVgqMLevdiNaQginbRq6rIWyrzGVjjg37o81rqDBWr_3PnFeagfvI_dWzAllq40NhXi84We28LydmJEMnPqsRXNLpTOgrL5Jhms2TKakJM/s200/IMG_0385.JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5537233866283477202" /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoKmVjgxN7iorul3vFCwyB8t3PzZtJXm_saYuluw06ysgPiYxzNjD6sgjHlNN_KQs23aHpNBsI3ZIYh5M5aA7OqIkQ91H1w71h-fF0ohwk1Bsl2kVEt-6l24ETPC6tsyQE59emv5Puqwo/s1600/IMG_0386.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoKmVjgxN7iorul3vFCwyB8t3PzZtJXm_saYuluw06ysgPiYxzNjD6sgjHlNN_KQs23aHpNBsI3ZIYh5M5aA7OqIkQ91H1w71h-fF0ohwk1Bsl2kVEt-6l24ETPC6tsyQE59emv5Puqwo/s200/IMG_0386.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5537233974182433506" /></a><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-mA7nCnpN6pRfP3RjeStfxoDAVpv-9Hle5L5R3kHvjL2QyxGbhRvpQVNVLrfeue6nLpvhNiMXO3FGepqD3IWWwAZI9SScL8oU2DdOODq9wJ9uNA1zVeezwEgCs4KcFNy8pQ0hcSp1crk/s200/135.JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5537233751970560354" /><br /><br />Water is something that can be both silent and moving. While water can be calm and still, it can also be full of vigorous movement. In a small pond, like in the photos shown above, even when the water moves, it is still completely silent. Even if the water is not moving, the nature around it moves. The wind blows the leaves on the trees and the animals move from place to place.Oliviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10077129355173718452noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4314355238253247171.post-49840040772255982922010-10-21T10:43:00.001-07:002010-10-21T10:47:11.599-07:00Replica of Diebenkorn's Painting<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAIIBRlLc1krbj6Gh7vQQiz95i9U7RTksX_Ii_-2e-laAnvkBu_lgx5ealkZnV1o958gSoK_zkLQ87ldBpfeHt2yDfTXYLvSNciWkhzjmspr5e5yOsC2ijtAHxoXr4ONtEbFNh_U9opL8/s1600/attachment.ashx+(1).jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAIIBRlLc1krbj6Gh7vQQiz95i9U7RTksX_Ii_-2e-laAnvkBu_lgx5ealkZnV1o958gSoK_zkLQ87ldBpfeHt2yDfTXYLvSNciWkhzjmspr5e5yOsC2ijtAHxoXr4ONtEbFNh_U9opL8/s200/attachment.ashx+(1).jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5530557070737524818" /></a><br /><div>This piece was completed in white oil pastel on black construction paper. </div>Oliviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10077129355173718452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4314355238253247171.post-992261779507208492010-10-21T10:39:00.000-07:002010-10-21T10:42:42.594-07:00Water Glass<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpPC_c56ccvQlw4lqI7KiO4FUCbLYOvI3xgWNityLZ4l9RLR8JAz9PkyO6Cs-0q29ns9NJ28_HZ7tOvs5tyDjhmjF9Jxufs7TbXBjJ9Ir90-qd6FvHdZyuKOSSRlX9ZuiZS0YfuBrwE3s/s1600/attachment.ashx.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 144px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpPC_c56ccvQlw4lqI7KiO4FUCbLYOvI3xgWNityLZ4l9RLR8JAz9PkyO6Cs-0q29ns9NJ28_HZ7tOvs5tyDjhmjF9Jxufs7TbXBjJ9Ir90-qd6FvHdZyuKOSSRlX9ZuiZS0YfuBrwE3s/s200/attachment.ashx.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5530555595608186946" /></a><br /><div>I never got a chance to complete this. The first time we went there, I fell in love with the island. It's a small, quaint island right off the coast of Rhode Island. There's cute little shops up and down the roads and beaches everywhere. This is definitely a place that I look forward to going to every summer just to get away from the stress of home. </div>Oliviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10077129355173718452noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4314355238253247171.post-65464762135416383182010-09-02T19:43:00.002-07:002010-09-02T19:56:38.485-07:00Inspirational Photos for the Joy Series<img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjV7tupfm8dGBfQSDPJez9bJcCy_TM26zD1_kbNjKsNg90_vM9nKtM0zb2plgPmmtauaAQEPDJ2KgnS1IgdHDdZSMnz2gP9PERNebASPNR9Z-y20f81MFiAD9XNAZJtMbhY8mYjsnUtBoI/s200/SANY0084.JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5512513453374502546" /> <img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivBwdvR5DHNBp6pnHmPxAZmZA44EqRexvRwy3hf09dwVNUo7mC5zxXHboPfcy2gbbn_6bbqa2zrH8B-Gwsa0-SpmEghw569qPZ6M6WpWP29a4p8MtxBKLFkLFcI0gwWtKFJnAjTEMPUxw/s200/SANY0089.JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 142px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5512514694572359714" /><div><div><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWnMQsVb43LIfu4VcLz1xHC6x1lRMAjFt3VpAi4uDcpiYCTlKIISzrmoM01GqoGiOV3gEHwFTvwMsQmw_AvtzlcTBLqIdmncEoAm4TSoWLuRuM5bpf5CUtUzusqG7Ph-AMnyUHvvY28Go/s1600/SANY0087.JPG"></a> <img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWnMQsVb43LIfu4VcLz1xHC6x1lRMAjFt3VpAi4uDcpiYCTlKIISzrmoM01GqoGiOV3gEHwFTvwMsQmw_AvtzlcTBLqIdmncEoAm4TSoWLuRuM5bpf5CUtUzusqG7Ph-AMnyUHvvY28Go/s200/SANY0087.JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5512514191560022178" /> <img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjS74nzU4oLuZJgblny0WQSTPqshNrX62voVzJUwxaT_Bw0y3iX6HtKpzYzPDHHxFZDrEfl7jem-QOsmM2eJtB6fgLlLgmvDALSm17S6kL8MH0Ec56R3TNUzOsmMJNSTpYOq2TuktfsKKI/s200/SANY0085.JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5512513785432612370" /><br /><br /><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:verdana;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">After considering painting photos of nature that I took in the Poconos, I decided, instead, to paint pictures of jellyfish I had recently taken at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. The setting there was so absolutely beautiful that I could not help but to take several photographs of literally everything. My plan was to bring these pictures back to school and turn them into my own works of art. They may also become the inspiration for our first project- the joy series. This year in AP Studio, I want to create beautiful, unique paintings. I hope that this year's work will complete my AP portfolio to make it the best it can be. My final goal for this year is to just have fun and learn new things about art that I haven't learned in my previous three years of art classes.</strong></span>Oliviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10077129355173718452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4314355238253247171.post-18325850884689024752010-05-19T10:27:00.000-07:002010-05-23T19:08:37.826-07:00Honorable Mention<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg56bIMooc0IIl8QOzF2pc7bmoxIGkYTO2pkx0ED2yhuaK5Q4BRKs3xKmxDKhna8JcV-wtAd8Z-ymi99mY3V_GRdSELrPivN3knzGopa25Aba2HyYsyxUrpunPUzbi5Xu-0YnGSl-kZf5E/s1600/IMG_0699.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg56bIMooc0IIl8QOzF2pc7bmoxIGkYTO2pkx0ED2yhuaK5Q4BRKs3xKmxDKhna8JcV-wtAd8Z-ymi99mY3V_GRdSELrPivN3knzGopa25Aba2HyYsyxUrpunPUzbi5Xu-0YnGSl-kZf5E/s320/IMG_0699.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5474652671227053154" /></a><br /><br /><div>I was proud of this. :) </div>Oliviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10077129355173718452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4314355238253247171.post-943287712404354612010-05-19T10:25:00.000-07:002010-05-23T19:03:15.447-07:00Suspended - "Jazz Ensemble"<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjw1Vgr3wqK5gmtjR-Elg1LhRtAjyxX1z_3fpt_FJb9iLDXoxIqHPmTsVTD4Cih2wOITufpcwLNu7HRVUE2R4dYSLKVMM06FIdFocTJEnlYe3Qt89Uat4LJmhQdI3dMha-dViF6lrFLB0U/s1600/IMG_0703.JPG"><img style="WIDTH: 400px; HEIGHT: 249px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5473033834232587266" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjw1Vgr3wqK5gmtjR-Elg1LhRtAjyxX1z_3fpt_FJb9iLDXoxIqHPmTsVTD4Cih2wOITufpcwLNu7HRVUE2R4dYSLKVMM06FIdFocTJEnlYe3Qt89Uat4LJmhQdI3dMha-dViF6lrFLB0U/s400/IMG_0703.JPG" /></a><br /><div></div><div>My goal in creating this piece was to create interesting shadows with the objects we suspended from the wall. I accomplished this goal by arranging the lighting so I could get raking shadows. My painting is about the theme we created. It has a 1920s theme that evokes a mysterious mood. The most difficult challenge I had to face was accurately depicting the shapes in the hat, trombone, and record. I met this challenge by squinting my eyes to see the correct shapes. I think the best part of my painting is definitely the colors and shapes painted in the hat. The biggest lesson I learned from this painting is that next time I need to make sure the sketch on my canvas is accurate before I lay paint down. My mentor in this painting was Edward Hopper. My painting is similar to the style and brush-strokes Hopper uses. From Audrey, I learned to find more shadows in all the objects. If I had a do-over, I would make the paint look a little smoother. However, overall, I feel my work is very successful. </div>Oliviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10077129355173718452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4314355238253247171.post-86943847314197181102010-05-19T07:13:00.001-07:002010-05-19T10:30:41.956-07:00Chili Peppers<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgG51FLUmMM1rhUocOVdMFOnSLA8o2U23tVoLgqPrfggQkCeqR4w_nd21mnhmWWmu3kiNgJab0j8e4OCFOG-Nvpqd0cx3ruCUcU6nDvV5R336KTbTA4CvE1RipgVTWcMaJCJGqWmadJk0s/s1600/IMG_0698.JPG"><img style="WIDTH: 320px; HEIGHT: 250px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5472984158206026050" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgG51FLUmMM1rhUocOVdMFOnSLA8o2U23tVoLgqPrfggQkCeqR4w_nd21mnhmWWmu3kiNgJab0j8e4OCFOG-Nvpqd0cx3ruCUcU6nDvV5R336KTbTA4CvE1RipgVTWcMaJCJGqWmadJk0s/s320/IMG_0698.JPG" /></a>Oliviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10077129355173718452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4314355238253247171.post-62474463658433243052010-05-19T07:11:00.000-07:002010-05-19T10:31:03.695-07:00Morning Fruit<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKnbxtIlaoVAVJ5wpTXDSz3HgtGFFcoRexz23-2bS6xSx3IYYN2ay-S5EW3fooOgcjrvyWH5oDTj8NDqS3wI4Zb9YF_P8XUJsPNo_viB5uQcQzm4JDyfvzi8w72OQ-9INVVyay91P3Or0/s1600/IMG_0700.JPG"><img style="WIDTH: 320px; HEIGHT: 250px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5472983825805922274" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKnbxtIlaoVAVJ5wpTXDSz3HgtGFFcoRexz23-2bS6xSx3IYYN2ay-S5EW3fooOgcjrvyWH5oDTj8NDqS3wI4Zb9YF_P8XUJsPNo_viB5uQcQzm4JDyfvzi8w72OQ-9INVVyay91P3Or0/s320/IMG_0700.JPG" /></a>Oliviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10077129355173718452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4314355238253247171.post-16353673749026812002010-03-22T05:58:00.000-07:002010-03-22T06:02:22.114-07:00Dessert<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGMdFyNW_8hX3lg12BTne64MuOWCcoa3x2_D0w12kpXY_NPfq00aGUYEUQn6ISJ7TEM54GY7W34AOYxrLRvVCLsHpSCleu2MgPceOzriTA87Pd-An9PlfJBKRHLayCr7KVHvfB5dTM5Oo/s1600-h/105_1566.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 320px; HEIGHT: 253px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5451442763408307970" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGMdFyNW_8hX3lg12BTne64MuOWCcoa3x2_D0w12kpXY_NPfq00aGUYEUQn6ISJ7TEM54GY7W34AOYxrLRvVCLsHpSCleu2MgPceOzriTA87Pd-An9PlfJBKRHLayCr7KVHvfB5dTM5Oo/s320/105_1566.jpg" /></a><br /><div></div>Oliviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10077129355173718452noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4314355238253247171.post-82385019311918595842010-03-05T06:09:00.000-08:002010-03-05T06:22:41.735-08:00Audrey<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoWZwpo7hVmcuGjuVGtzeTQ5p6-odY90a30jPVF09jh1oWz1wTc2YgL7liwxuaAvHht7vy5ODQ97u1-4ME3c1su9bJuNSNeq9v7reqNuY1qGu0VhE-vUpwcS0YMlJu9Vn1A3uPettOnzI/s1600-h/downsize.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 285px; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5445151910942508146" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoWZwpo7hVmcuGjuVGtzeTQ5p6-odY90a30jPVF09jh1oWz1wTc2YgL7liwxuaAvHht7vy5ODQ97u1-4ME3c1su9bJuNSNeq9v7reqNuY1qGu0VhE-vUpwcS0YMlJu9Vn1A3uPettOnzI/s400/downsize.jpg" /></a><br /><div> </div><div>My goal for this painting was to paint the colors and shapes found in Audrey's shirt and skirt. I chose to simplify everything else so the main focus would be on her clothing, not on her face or the background. The main challenges I faced were in accurately outlining the angle of her body. I overcame this challenge by redrawing the lines with paint. I mistakenly painted her collar in the middle of her shirt, when in fact it was slightly to the left of the painting due to the fact that her body was turned. I created form in this painting by drawing what I saw instead of from memory. Overall, I enjoyed taking a break from painting myself and painting someone else. It was a nice change of pace. </div>Oliviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10077129355173718452noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4314355238253247171.post-35769801834293188082010-02-19T12:30:00.001-08:002010-02-19T12:38:52.357-08:00Snow Day Homework<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJgJ22yP45V90Y6b4l_npoNEegtOtcExL_909nVF0Q2lZhbg5AHmh5u4bkww-UIVPlxUY9b1RtlOEajkEalsapCwsTUEjemXX90ObnGFKrWT3u0z8OIJ-HIeWCjslbLDP2Npm1my2GdiI/s1600-h/SANY0176.JPG"><img style="WIDTH: 400px; HEIGHT: 276px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440055815227230610" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJgJ22yP45V90Y6b4l_npoNEegtOtcExL_909nVF0Q2lZhbg5AHmh5u4bkww-UIVPlxUY9b1RtlOEajkEalsapCwsTUEjemXX90ObnGFKrWT3u0z8OIJ-HIeWCjslbLDP2Npm1my2GdiI/s400/SANY0176.JPG" /></a><br /><div> </div><div>This is my snow day homework. I completed a 2 page spread in my sketchbook using pencil and charcoal. I drew the office in my house. The love seat is the main focus of the sketch, as well as the window behind it. The door leading into another room is my escape hatch. The most diffifult thing I neede to do to be successful was to find to find the correct shadows in my face and paint them accurately. The most fun part of this project was the risk of having a short amount of time to paint everything.Oliviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10077129355173718452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4314355238253247171.post-86895018778086082002010-01-11T08:30:00.000-08:002010-01-11T08:34:35.009-08:00Sketchbook Assignments<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGO_bnbXK6tcTP1quu4eMy9dGU4m7Pfnxf_8Tw1dAidnAgXBYv9FJV26TETjxeOZ5Vp0SzTVYkP2FzTtVL0tfAAqlo3jTjtWGu8Urc90czmodrY2owtrNgfgTp0cWtiW-FtJCgvqpYkdc/s1600-h/downsizedfghjk.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 138px; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425521372788101618" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGO_bnbXK6tcTP1quu4eMy9dGU4m7Pfnxf_8Tw1dAidnAgXBYv9FJV26TETjxeOZ5Vp0SzTVYkP2FzTtVL0tfAAqlo3jTjtWGu8Urc90czmodrY2owtrNgfgTp0cWtiW-FtJCgvqpYkdc/s200/downsizedfghjk.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjouZPmyhWkTjYNHq9E-ArTgCOzdXPCYMox6k7YLFnjx_68BUjhmO5OZA_ew4553yDmxR-D-hI0_sytoMnlzqKnC2yrzHXehSSCa0SF3ZzRHgeu7_SUfdTbxt3c8Ji5tS1tja5C18xJexk/s1600-h/SANY0146.JPG"><img style="WIDTH: 148px; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425521198129629218" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjouZPmyhWkTjYNHq9E-ArTgCOzdXPCYMox6k7YLFnjx_68BUjhmO5OZA_ew4553yDmxR-D-hI0_sytoMnlzqKnC2yrzHXehSSCa0SF3ZzRHgeu7_SUfdTbxt3c8Ji5tS1tja5C18xJexk/s200/SANY0146.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEyuXm8gittODei24g8u12EHVNmpyqm9OBSXNVIt6rrtgA6M76arFPKmoHbBLJ5z6CfyakkUNMED1RneGM3FreR0w0wpsvAjyaWpJZdsXqUuFKZSFaX7N2idOpmwaLEeu5MHAGzI34XBc/s1600-h/SANY0137.JPG"><img style="WIDTH: 140px; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425521097455262914" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEyuXm8gittODei24g8u12EHVNmpyqm9OBSXNVIt6rrtgA6M76arFPKmoHbBLJ5z6CfyakkUNMED1RneGM3FreR0w0wpsvAjyaWpJZdsXqUuFKZSFaX7N2idOpmwaLEeu5MHAGzI34XBc/s200/SANY0137.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFGMenp7ta4b4WElbRk5PII2HYwnXsYw8In1CNlQmjJUNG8oj83sIOlFc_Cgey5V9pw7egj3CesUwCzR1Hhs3a_3sNseyJfLLYAekMOZ2pGdm3C2tHXtB-A7m6S4QWRB_FNqdcQYnZdPQ/s1600-h/downsizesssssssss.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 150px; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425520806750435634" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFGMenp7ta4b4WElbRk5PII2HYwnXsYw8In1CNlQmjJUNG8oj83sIOlFc_Cgey5V9pw7egj3CesUwCzR1Hhs3a_3sNseyJfLLYAekMOZ2pGdm3C2tHXtB-A7m6S4QWRB_FNqdcQYnZdPQ/s200/downsizesssssssss.jpg" /></a> </div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><br /><div><br /></div><br /><br /><br /><div></div>Oliviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10077129355173718452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4314355238253247171.post-62513920089984220642009-12-13T13:10:00.000-08:002009-12-13T14:23:27.815-08:00Self-Portrait<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixBxLa1pyqb25XvDY_nM78wzo0cwORx7ZDhPOLzRKYoM747B40qo1tk8En-S-QtHuo1ThKdLWT9nlIjD4VUsTJoxrHa9LAnRy3GqsCuXNTXPvD8iLDf7KTVmmWbSxlHFYZKc6hXPlRzf8/s1600-h/105_1190.JPG"><img style="WIDTH: 235px; HEIGHT: 296px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5414831804922717282" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixBxLa1pyqb25XvDY_nM78wzo0cwORx7ZDhPOLzRKYoM747B40qo1tk8En-S-QtHuo1ThKdLWT9nlIjD4VUsTJoxrHa9LAnRy3GqsCuXNTXPvD8iLDf7KTVmmWbSxlHFYZKc6hXPlRzf8/s200/105_1190.JPG" /></a><br /><div>In my self-portrait, I wanted to portray a very interesting viewpoint and evoke an intense mood. I portrayed a unique viewpoint by including the mirror, as well as the light and background, in my drawing. I drew my face looking very serious to show emotion in my eyes. I selected the composition I did because I found it extremely interesting. Although my face is the main focal point of the drawing, there are other things going on around it that catch your attention. The lighting on my face created amazing shadows from my hair. Creating form was difficult, but overall, I acheived it by using the shapes in the shadows to create a 3D look. The background of my portrait includes straight and diagonal lines that cut across the paper. This reinforces the inspiration of my mentor, Richard Diebenkorn. The biggest risk I took in my portrait was drawing my face at an angle. It may not sound difficult, but drawing at an angle moves all features of the face into different positions. </div>Oliviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10077129355173718452noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4314355238253247171.post-42588262244990434632009-11-03T08:04:00.000-08:002009-11-03T17:21:47.979-08:00Mini Series<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKDeI7NIX08bVgZdlXhR4WMfWSm6H_tVPsq9jlxyYVXGn9Lj2czTFEM1VdGBRYBBV3DYV_qIrtrQaDHS0EzFfPPplma0cxD6aSFrG9KG8nsVicXmd8qnpAKC35uOI1oxL_u39nq37RNT8/s1600-h/1102091431.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 197px; HEIGHT: 203px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399909156023676002" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKDeI7NIX08bVgZdlXhR4WMfWSm6H_tVPsq9jlxyYVXGn9Lj2czTFEM1VdGBRYBBV3DYV_qIrtrQaDHS0EzFfPPplma0cxD6aSFrG9KG8nsVicXmd8qnpAKC35uOI1oxL_u39nq37RNT8/s200/1102091431.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZPZTwQSgqoJg0FI2LuJRqw4EhjfHyCUru9ELf6drb6xaEKgj-undjPVmRo4kTQveHLcFcd4Yow934OjcXmbL7WpWNlogJt-TgA81g8fHgbBY0tTNzM7DPChdtjKoCeJ2DUzxiaWlucrc/s1600-h/downsizes.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 200px; HEIGHT: 199px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399909231517380450" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZPZTwQSgqoJg0FI2LuJRqw4EhjfHyCUru9ELf6drb6xaEKgj-undjPVmRo4kTQveHLcFcd4Yow934OjcXmbL7WpWNlogJt-TgA81g8fHgbBY0tTNzM7DPChdtjKoCeJ2DUzxiaWlucrc/s200/downsizes.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgggcrInPShp4S9xdKDLfuRJ93kLtChZJXl8HKSlxvBkFijM-GIcLgxWCJP8Bz-fpvbUOJswdmNWfcDv1Re_2-yYYKEbQ0gnNNJPoUMoi2vqE_l6zTITKsR-L92SnA0MFDL1kXW1YPJSrs/s1600-h/downsize.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 196px; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399909359774929506" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgggcrInPShp4S9xdKDLfuRJ93kLtChZJXl8HKSlxvBkFijM-GIcLgxWCJP8Bz-fpvbUOJswdmNWfcDv1Re_2-yYYKEbQ0gnNNJPoUMoi2vqE_l6zTITKsR-L92SnA0MFDL1kXW1YPJSrs/s200/downsize.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgggcrInPShp4S9xdKDLfuRJ93kLtChZJXl8HKSlxvBkFijM-GIcLgxWCJP8Bz-fpvbUOJswdmNWfcDv1Re_2-yYYKEbQ0gnNNJPoUMoi2vqE_l6zTITKsR-L92SnA0MFDL1kXW1YPJSrs/s1600-h/downsize.jpg"></a> </div></div>Oliviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10077129355173718452noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4314355238253247171.post-29691124719239242442009-10-19T08:19:00.000-07:002009-10-19T08:21:35.609-07:00<a href="http://conniehayes.com/prints.html">http://conniehayes.com/prints.html</a><br /><br />Connie Hayes is also a major mentor for me. Her work, as well as Peggy Kroll's, is very simplistic and summarized. However, her pieces are a little more completeted than Peggy Kroll's. Viewing her work may help me to develop a slightly more itemized/completed style.Oliviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10077129355173718452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4314355238253247171.post-940624516367688472009-10-19T08:08:00.000-07:002009-10-19T08:14:17.876-07:00<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi16oqoNwg7nUmbQO2xKwlO6VCbKdAT1h3IuFKZ_hpnI2nIUzEoA5XFXguPpKJqiQmyZUuLCv9FY_tX2YGEABg7lkml-Lt_ko1ji0ogOVYLJ02_LesKGwNlW95njX9OJUh7ZD5aTxuaxdg/s1600-h/lagunaumbrella8x10_small.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 298px; HEIGHT: 243px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394329322910944786" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi16oqoNwg7nUmbQO2xKwlO6VCbKdAT1h3IuFKZ_hpnI2nIUzEoA5XFXguPpKJqiQmyZUuLCv9FY_tX2YGEABg7lkml-Lt_ko1ji0ogOVYLJ02_LesKGwNlW95njX9OJUh7ZD5aTxuaxdg/s200/lagunaumbrella8x10_small.jpg" /></a><br /><div>This image by Peggy Kroll is especially inspiring to me.
